the island needs you. you have to go back before its too late.
thats what i got.
is that sawyer's voice?
sounds like sawyer.
ohh yeah, it does kinda sound like sawyer.
sounded like jack or ben to me. anyway, its weird how it contradicts what claire tells her! :)
Thats why she tells Aaron 'I'm sorry.' She understood what the voice said and knows she hast to go back even though Claire said not to bring Aaron back.
sawyer, maybe locke.
on second thought (listened to it again) i dont think its possible to work out who's voice it is from this.
good point, tony.
Also, it sounds like Richard Alpert to me.......
Christian Shephards voice. Sounds like it towards the end.
Listening to it again and again, I think it sounds like Christian Shephard's voice.
It kind of sounded like Christian Shepherd to me...
And I guess I had that revelation at the same time as others lol :D
okay, ive decided it's gotta be locke.
actually, i give up. it does sound like christian. but i guess it could be anyone.
I'm the guy who recorded the sound and sent it in. The consensus among my pals at our finale party as we recorded it and then played it several times through the surround sound was Locke. But it's a tough call. :-)
Locke and Christian. The beginning is Locke and the end is Christian. There might be someone else saying the middle part but definitely those two. I'm really good with voices.
Locke, without a doubt.
Kind of sounds like Albert
Forget my last comment that its Albert. It either Locke or Christian and here is why. Locke wants everyone to come back. Christian set free Michael, who never met each other. Christian was also last seen with Clair. We know its a island ghost because it was done backwards. Then you have the conflict that has one voice saying come back and then Clair saying dont take Aaron back. There is some sort of feud going on between forces.
Also at the party where Russ recorded it, and the more I listen to it, I don't think it's Locke. It might not be anyone we know, but the voice of Jacob, who until this point we've only heard say, "Help Me"
first off, the voice says GO BACK, so it must be someone OFF the island. anyone else would have said COME BACK. cant be locke, because he was already dead by the time she received the phone call. so whoever it is, its someone whos not on the island.
There is no reason to think its someone living franki, if it was someone alive they would no have been speaking backwards
frrrranki...thats precisely it...its probably Locke BECAUSE he's dead at that point.
Somebody that ISN'T dead has no ability to communicate with you backwards in your dreams.
It's Locke's.
They were talking about how Locke had been phoning them, telling them to go back. Obviously, that means it was Locke calling.
That totally sounds like Locke... he has the same pronunciation and emphasized his T at the end of the sentence... just like Locke does... before its too laTe.......
Sounded like Vincent to me..
It sounds like many voices melded together to me.
It won't play for me. Is it still available?
If you still can't get it to play I've posted it here:
http://www.indieminister.com/lost/phonemessage.mp3
Hope that helps!
does it really matter WHO it is? all that matters is what it says.
That's Michael Scofield :P LOL
Thanks, Russ! It is working for me now.
Kreamy anyone? awwwww
Can anyone understand the other whispers? The ones right before the gunfight and the ones right before Christian Shepard showed up on the freighter?
The begining sounded just like Charlie to me, 'The Island needs you@ bit. The ending sounded like Christian thou.
The word 'need' tells me it's Locke. They way it's pronounced. Even disguising his voice, it sounds like Locke.
Wait! With this new version it actually sounds like there is two different voices!! The first one sounds very much like Locke: - "The island needs you"...
The other one sounds totally different: - "You have to go back before it's too late!" ... Sawyer?
It would make sense if there are different voices, right? After all The Whispers comes from different “people” all the time.
I changed my mind: Maybe the second one is Christian, not Sawyer.
I don't hear two voices at all. All I hear is one unrecognizable voice.
hristian Shepard - its his "melody" or phonetic way to speak
Sounds like Christian to me. And as others have pointed out, the best hint is towards the end. Other than him, there is no evidence to me that it is anyone else we know. If it's not Christian, I would say it is a production assistant or writer they got to do it for kicks, not intending it to be anyone specific.
Jacob you prankster! ;)
It is definitely Christian.
if it was locke, wouldnt he say, WE have to go back?
It's absolutely Christian. I thought it was fairly obvious.... but based on this talkback, i guess not.
It sounds like Richard or Locke to me... or maybe it's Sayid changing his voice and accent...
imposible but the voice is belong to frank listen it again... or richard
sounds like Pauly Shore to me, or maybe Morgan Freeman...
It sounds like Jack to me
Not Locke. TOQ has an upper midwest accent, this does not. Sounds more like a random announcer voice to me.
I concede the first sentence is close to Locke, but the last part isn't him.
Actually, the voice sounds exactly like a compilation of many voices chopped and smeared together. I hear Jack, Locke, Sayid, and Charlie at a minimum.
This makes sense, really, once you've figured out that they've "never left the island." I think once you've been on island, you can't leave without leaving a part of your consciousness behind. This might be why Walt and Widmore have nightmares. AND why Ben and Widmore can't kill each other.
As far as Claire visiting: Well, the producers have mentioned in more than one interview that seeing a vision of someone isn't necessarily the actual someone. They've said that even multiple appearances of Walt are really "all Walt."
This voice thing is pretty cool because it's such an obvious hint.
I mean, are NOT really "all Walt."
Sorry!
