The graves were in Thailand. Bai Ling dug them up!!! ;)
There is a PURCHASE ORDER paper trail??? Wow. And "To: Widmore Industries" You know when Walt Disney came to buy up the swamp land in central FL...he did undercover through another company....smart right? Unless it is common for Widmore to buy old airliners, this odd plane purchase would be a sloppy job for all the trouble they were going through to execute the cover up.
I wonder if this plane was purchased AFTER 815 went missing....or before???
Yeah, that "purchase order" and photograph of (supposed) empty graves is a bit of a stretch--as is the fact that Tom just happened to have that folder lying there when Michael asked his question.
I smell more disinformation.
Gotta be some bad Karma digging up all those bodies...if that was true.
I thought he bought the plane through a shadow company, acording to Tom. Yet, it says Widmore right on the slip. Also, Tom mentioned how much money it would cost for someone to buy a plane to stage a scene like that. But right on the order form it says the plane cost $450,000?!? That's a drop in the bucket for a baller like Chuck. And honestly, if the public heard about the wreckage, wouldn't they bring them up? Watch the History channel. Groups are raising sunken ships all the time.
So wait. The public saw the underwater apparatus footage of the wreckage and some of the bodies? Don't you think they would of decomposed differently than a bunch of corpses dug up from graves? WEAK!
Marcusberry, I'm totally with you on this one. Widmore should be smarter than this...leaving a paper trail. I'm also interested in knowing 'when' he purchased the plane. I don't see a date on the purchase order.
I have a major issue with the corpses being dug up in Thailand. Not only would decomposition be different, I think it would be easy to tell it was not from the ocean and decomposition rates would vary. Unless of course everyone from that cemetery died at the exact same time. And, how many people on the plane came from Thailand? Yet, it looks from the picture, like most of the bodies came from the same cemetery.
I think this was stretched too far, even for LOST.
Wasn't there a video on on of the web games regarding a gas attack in Thailand?
There is defiantly something fishy about this “purchase order”. A purchase order is a document that is initiated by the buyer to the seller. Considering that this document has a “Customer #” rather than a “Supplier #”, it looks more like a document that was initiated by the seller, rather than the buyer. Also, a Purchase Order is not valid unless it is printed on company letterhead. Instead, this looks more like a generic sales invoice. There is a HUGE difference between a PO and a sales invoice. I am an auditor and I am trained to look for stuff like this to identify cases of fraud, and this is definitely a phony document.
So now, the question turns to is this a screw-up by the writers (not knowing the difference between a PO and a sales invoice) or is this an intentional screw up to show that Tom and Ben faked this document?
Those are bogus documents for sure. The writers are way to smart to screw up like that.
what if the bodies were people who died in that terrible tsunami that came out of the same trench where the plane is hidden - and what if we're to learn that the tsunami was MANUFACTURED because they needed hundreds of bodies that died of drowning? That would be kinda shocking.
We know that SOMEBODY is lying about the plane. One group says Ben did it, the other says Widmore did it. What if they BOTH did it, and Ben is attempting a mutiny from within Widmore's operation?
Tsunami was after Michael's flashbacks.
Could have been some industrial accident at one of Widmore's factories, and after being buried, the bodies had to be dug up and cremated (so the world was told).
I have a feeling that we have been told the real story behind this crash staging, and that will be it. We can pick holes all we want, but this is what the writers are going to settle on, and we have to accept it.
The part that bothers me the most about this is that Tom had all of these documents super fast. I would imagine that it would take a bit to do research on Widmore and find all this stuff out. It seems to me Michael went the moment he heard about the crash. Just seems a little too convenient for Tom to have it that quick.
I think the documents and photo were faked by Ben and company in case Michael didn't go along too easily with their "request" to join the freighter.
Maybe Ben put the plane and bodies in the ocean. Then Ben made a bunch of fake documents to make the 815ers think Widmore did it.
So far Ben has claimed he is the good guy, but his actions have been shady. Widmore on the other hand looks to be evil, but really what has he done that we know for sure....say no to desmond about marrying penny?
But I way overthought who Ben's man on the boat was - so this probably would be the same. Widmore did it....the details are irrelevant.
nobody has mentioned this yet and it's probably out there where the "others" don't run...
The gravesite in the picture looks A LITTLE (itty bitty) like the site where Kate and Sayer were breaking rocks on the small island for the Others. Kate at one point and asked Juliet what they were building and she was told "A runway, for the aliens"
I realize this is probably a complete non-sequator but my mind works like that. Any thoughts?

Yeah, I see the similarities a bit. A tiny bit. I think they were just breaking rocks to break their spirits a bit.
I agree the bodies from the graves would not look like those from the plane, but widmore is controlling the search operation. If we agree widmore is behind the fake 815 plane, then he can probably also show the bodies he wants and not show the bodies he doesn't.
Do you think we will get a flashback about the helicopter pilot and him calling out the fake dead ringless 815 pilot? We still don't know how oceanic responded... do we?
tom probably had the papers so fast because he just assumed that michael would ask that question, i mean it is a very logical question to ask. those do seem fake though, like that wouldn't be enough proof to convince me to go and kill a boat full of people. also what else was in that file because there was a huge stack of papers that he didn't even look at. I want to know what those papers said, because that might give more information about if they are fake or not.

the major flaw of this is that Thai people burn dead bodies. I'm Thai and I know that. We don't bury them. We burn our relatives and everyone except you're Christian which very few of Thais are. And if dead people are Christian, you get to be buried in a beautiful grave, not like these. This is such a major flaw. LOL
But it's alright i guess since most viewers don't know. And I still LOVE LOST HEHEE
